Fuel Cells UK acts on behalf of its members to accelerate the development and commercialisation of fuel cells in the UK. It provides a respected and authoritative point of contact and a clear, informed and up-to-date view on research, development and demonstration priorities for government, other funding agencies and opinion formers.

Fuel Cells UK:

• Creates the power of a collective industry voice to represent members’ interests at the national and international level.
• Promotes the advancement of public policies that encourage the development and deployment of fuel cells and associated fuels.
• Identifies the barriers to the wider development and deployment of fuel cells and associated fuels, and coordinates action to reduce them.
• Coordinates and communicates Members’ views on current and future research, development and deployment priorities for fuel cells and associated fuels to government and other funding agencies.
• Works to increase the presence and influence of Members at the European level, to help shape the European fuel cell agenda, and enhance opportunities for Members’ participation and benefit.
• Develops channels of communication between Members, the Government, the European Union and other international organisations.
• Collaborates, where appropriate, on relevant issues with other national and international associations and interest groupings.
• Informs members of funding opportunities and mechanisms, including those at European level.
• Undertakes targeted outreach activities to promote better understanding of fuel cells and the benefits which they bring among key stakeholders.
